The Town of Van Buren is pleased to announce that our customers can now make credit/debit card payments on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The same service that we use over the counter is now available as an easy to use online payment application. Property tax and sewer bills can be paid with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card.
A quick click on the "Make a payment" link above will bring you to Maine PayPort Online, a third party service working in partnership with the State of Maine and the Town. By using a third party service, your credit card information is processed at a secure site.
As with our over the counter service, customers will be assessed a 2.5% service fee for each transaction. A few example service charges are shown below, however you will know the exact fee amount when completing your payment.

All you need to pay your bill online is your account number and a valid credit card. Your account number is located on the top of your bill. If you don't know your account number, call our office and we will provide it to you.
