Re-Register
- Previous Registration
- Current Mileage
- Valid Proof of Insurance
New Registration - Dealer
- Previous Registration (if transferring, vehicle can no longer be in your possession)
- Monroney Label (Window Sticker) from dealer
- Invoice from dealer showing that you have paid State of Maine Sales Tax (otherwise paid at the time of registration)
- Blue Title Application
- Valid Proof of Insurance
New Registration - Private Party
- Previous Registration (if transferring, vehicle can no longer be in your posession)
- Bill of Sale (Should have the year, make, model and VIN of vehicle, date of sale, amount of sale and signature of buyer and seller)
- Previous Title (if 1995 or newer, signed over by the seller to current buyer)
- Current Mileage
- Valid Proof of Insurance
* Excise Tax MUST be payed to the municipality in which you reside, regardless of where the registration will be completed. Title fees and sales tax will be paid at the time of registration if it was not paid by you to the State of Maine prior to registration.
